T.Thomas Handbags started in the back of a shoe repair shop in 1984 completely by accident . When she was just 19 years old , Tina met a young man that had recently opened his shoe repair shop two doors down from where she was working as a hair dresser . Having always been interested in sewing since her early childhood , Tina was able to master the leather sewing machines very quickly . It wasn't long before she was putting those sewing skills to use helping her boyfriend repair shoes and handbags between clients at her salon.

After repairing so many handbags , Tina quickly realized she could design her own that were of a higher quality than those she was constantly stitching back together . the shoe cobbler would order leather and tina would cut the hide and stitch together her own bags .

It didn't take long before people started to notice her unique and high end personal handbags that they would always ask , "Where did you find that" ? She soon found herself being constantly asked to custom design handbags for her friends and clients.

Tina and  the shoe cobbler have been married  34 years now , and while she kept cutting hair throughout the years she kept designing and making handbags. Currently the demand for her high end luxury  handbags has grown so much that she is devoting her self full time to designing and manufacturing her product for an ever growing and loyal fan base.

All Manufacturing is done locally in the USA and always will be . Tina still accepts custom design requests from clients, just like she always has for for her friends . Its one of the many unique aspects of T. Thomas Handbags.
